April 1-2, 2016

The Vine Conference is a weekend retreat to engage and challenge high school students (grades 9-12) to own their faith and draw deeper into the Word.

Join us as we explore God’s Word through engaging main sessions,
dynamic worship, interactive breakout sessions, and much more!

This year, the theme is "Glow." Students will learn of showing God’s light and love: our light comes from God and we must shine our lights to others. Students will discover just what it means to be called to be the light of the world.

Students can expect to leave on Saturday feeling challenged, encouraged, and spurred on in their faith.

It's also a great opportunity to get a taste of college life through staying in the dorms, interacting with current LCU students, and spending time with some LCU professors who will be teaching various breakout sessions on Saturday.

Brian Mills - featured speaker for The Vine Conference 2016!

Brian Mills has a deep passion for the mission of God to restore all things in Christ. He also has wide experience serving that mission through four years of inner-city ministry, 12 years of ministry at a Christian university and eight years in local church ministry.

Currently, Brian is Pastor at Hope Church in Springfield, Illinois—a Christ-centered community filled with imperfect, unfinished and open people.

Brian loves to help people find their gifts, passion and sense of calling. He is excited by the power of the Word of God to guide people and restore culture. He loves being Chantell’s husband (21 yrs.), and dad to Ryder (college junior) and Rylee (high school junior). He enjoys motorcycle riding, hiking, the outdoors, jazz music, hot sauce, blueberries, almonds, coffee and adventurous foreign food (not together). Be careful when you’re on the county roads and highways around central Illinois—Brian is likely to be on his bicycle enjoying the sun in his face and the wind at his back.
