Red Lions Cross the Patriots of Valley Forge

The Lincoln Christian University men's basketball team’s 13-hour trip to Pheonixville, PA, paid off Thursday, November 21, 2013, as they overcame the Valley Forge Christian College Patriots in the first game of the Hersha classic with a score of 70-64.

The game had more than eight lead changes and saw the Red Lions going into the locker room at the half, down by six with a score of 33-39. Fortunately, the Red Lions were able to score 12 more points than the Patriots in the second half, thanks to the efforts of sophomore Anthony Rush who had a total of 12 points for the night and senior David Graves with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Red Lions continue play in the Hersha Classic against Kentucky Christian College.
