Women's Soccer Gets Romped by Grace

The LCU women’s soccer team traveled to Grand Rapids, MI, on Saturday, September 14, 2013, to take on Mid-West Regional opponent, Grace Bible College.

It was clearly not LCU’s day, as Grace (2-3) came out fast and hard, taking repeated shots on goal against LCU (1-2).  LCU’s defense could not handle Grace’s attack, giving up four goals in the first half and eight goals in the second.  LCU was only able to muster one goal on the game, resulting in the win for Grace, 12-1.

LCU senior midfielder Elizabeth Langley (Mahomet, IL/Mahomet-Seymour High) scored LCU’s lone goal. In total, Grace took 49 shots compared to LCU’s two. LCU goalkeeper, senior Ashlan Rose (Chatham, IL/Glenwood High) recorded 21 saves on the day.
