Women's Soccer Suffers Big Loss to Maranatha

The Lincoln Christian University (LCU) Women’s Soccer Team hosted Mid-west Regional opponent, Maranatha Baptist Bible College (MBBC) for their home-opener on Saturday, September 7. In a lopsided game, MBBC ran away with the win, 11 – 0.

MBBC (1-1) scored a quick goal in the first five minutes, which began the onslaught of goals that LCU (1-1) gave up going into halftime, down 7-0.

LCU made a few adjustments at the beginning of the second half, but only succeeded in slowing down MBBC’s offense. MBBC scored four more goals in the half, allowing them to grab their first win of the season in double-digits.

LCU senior goalkeeper, Ashlan Rose (Chatham, IL/Glenwood High) recorded 13 saves on the day.
