The Red Lions will kick off their season Tuesday, November 19, 2013, against Greenville College at 5:00 p.m. on LCU’s home court. The past few games against Greenville have not gone LCU’s way, as Greenville won the last few by double-digits.
Following the opener, the Red Lions will travel to Pheonixville, PA, for the Hersha Hospitality Classic, hosted by Valley Forge Christian College. The Red Lions will face off against three other NCCAA II programs including Valley Forge Christian College, Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, and Kentucky Christian University, who won the NCCAA II National Tournament two years ago.
The Red Lions will participate in another fall classic, the Mid-West Regional Tipoff. It is the Red Lions turn to host this year, as they face off against Grace Bible College on Friday, December 6, 2013, and then reigning national champion Maranatha Baptist Bible College on Saturday, December 7, 2013.
The Red Lions return after break to travel to the Cookson Hills Classic for the second year in a row January 2-4, 2014 in Kansas, OK.
When the Red Lions return to campus, they will play six Christian college opponents in a row. One of those teams is Faith Baptist Bible College (FBBC) who is a new opponent for the Red Lions in recent years. LCU will travel to FBBC in Ankeny, IA, on January 14, 2014, and FBBC will come to Lincoln on February 8, 2014.
The team finishes the year with their regional
tournament on February 27 through March 1, 2014. This year, the Women’s Basketball Mid-West Regional
Tournament will be played at Northland International University in Dunbar, WI.
