Message to Churches from the President
Since its founding as Lincoln Bible Institute in 1944,Lincoln Christian University has enjoyed an inseparable partnership with thelocal church. For the first seven years of the school’s history, founding President Earl C Hargrove, continued to serve as the preacher of the Lincoln Christian Church and in the early days, professors and students filled the pulpits of churches throughout the state of Illinois.
Through the years the partnership between local churches and LCU has become an even more meaningful and mutually beneficial collaboration. We depend upon churches for prayer partnership, for volunteer leadership, for prospective students, and for financial resources that are invested in equipping the next generation of Kingdom leaders. Local churches all across the country look to LCU for helpful resources and vital services. It is our desire that you will take advantage of the opportunities for LCU to serve you that are described in this brochure.
Now 70 years later because of your partnership, LCU continues to fulfill its mission of nurturing and equipping Lincoln Leaders “to serve and lead in the Church and the world.” We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with your church in advancing the Kingdom of God across this nation and around the world. May all that we do bring honor to our Lord Jesus Christ as together we further the work of the Gospel for the glory of God.
Dr. Don Green, President
Lincoln Christian University
