Lincoln Leaders Campaign Logo
Financial challenges in a tough economy make your Lincoln Leadership Gift more vital than ever.

When you invest in LCU you help equip future Lincoln Leaders who are ready to answer the call and serve the Kingdom according to their God-given gifts and passions. The Lincoln Leaders - Answering the Call campaign is a challenge to people like you - and churches like yours - who believe in and support the mission of Lincoln Christian University. Prayerfully consider increasing your gifts by 10% this year. If everyone would do so, this will result in an increase of $150,000 over three years.

When founding president Earl Hargrove issued the promise, "The preachers are coming," in 1944, Lincoln Leaders answered the call.

A recent study found that Lincoln Christian alumni have served in more than 160 of the world’s most populated countries and all 50 of the United States. LCU continues its mission to nurture and equip Christians with a Biblical worldview to serve and lead in the church and the world.

Lincoln Leaders distinguish themselves through their
  • Biblical worldview
  • Servant heart
  • Love for Christ and His Church
  • Kingdom perspective

A commitment to increase your gift helps raise up more Lincoln Leaders like these:

Josh Weber

Josh Weber (LCC ‘03, LCS ‘06)
Worship Arts Minister, Outlook Christian Church, McCordsville, IN

"As a worship and creative arts minister, I consider it a privilege to serve within the local church, seeking to make disciples by leading others in the worship of our great God. During my time at Lincoln Christian University, I was equipped with the tools necessary to do the work of the Kingdom, and for that I will always be grateful. I pray that God will continue to bless the students, faculty, and staff of LCU as she continues to fulfill her mission in this world."

Jane Priest

Jane Priest (LCC ’90)
Kid’s Minister, Highland Church of Christ, Robinson, IL

"LCU equipped me with the tools I needed to serve in an area that is close to my heart, families and their children. Although my faith was strong going into Lincoln Christian, I was able to grow in my knowledge of God’s Word and grow stronger in my faith, which helped me to serve in even a stronger and more meaningful way. What I learned at LCU helped me help families as they go through daily life, both in the good and difficult times. Also, I was equipped to help kids begin their relationship with Jesus, and there is no greater joy than to see kids making good choices and decisions in their lives."

Jim Powell

Jim Powell (LCS ‘97)
Lead Pastor, Richwoods Christian Church, Peoria, IL

"LCU helped prepare me for my role as a Lead Pastor by giving me a theological foundation and exposing me to leadership and church growth materials that I was previously unaware of. They taught me the value of having mentors and that the most effective ministry comes out of relationships. I still find myself going through my old notes and even contacting professors and fellow students when I need outside input. I’m so thankful for my time at LCU and how that continues to pay off years after my graduation."

Mioche Rock

Mioche Rock (LCS ’05)
Director, Friends of Christ Haitian Ministry, Pastor, Pignon, Haiti

"Having the desire to plant and develop relevant, great commission churches in my country, Haiti, I couldn’t find a better place than Lincoln Christian Seminary to prepare me for such a great endeavor. I always thank God for the scholarships I received there and the superb education that has enabled me to serve our Father in Pignon, Haiti over the past seven years."

Steven A. Denny

Steven A. Denny (LCC ‘71, LCS ‘73)
Lawyer, Oak Park, IL

"My six years at LCU created so many positive templates for my life: community, worship, confession, forgiveness, spiritual disciplines, exegesis, critical thinking, understanding others, and how to enjoy losing more than winning!! A 10-year preaching ministry has been followed by 26 years in the law. My congregation now is the 12 people in the jury box of a courtroom and the homiletics lessons guide my every word as I try to convey my message clearly, convince doubters, and convert them to my position!"

Gene Harker

Gene Harker, MD, PhD (LCC ‘80, LCS ‘83)
Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN

"I am most grateful for Lincoln Christian University - much of what is good in my life is the direct result of my education and on-going connection with this fine university. The community of leaders and scholars at Lincoln Christian have enriched my thinking, informed my service, influenced my career, and shaped my character. I am a better person and a better leader because of the positive influence of LCU."

Seth Thomas

Seth Tomas (LCU '11)

"Lincoln Christian University has prepared me to be an effective Christian leader both where I am now and where the Lord may lead me tomorrow. I am confident to lead both ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ the church, through life-long learning, character development, relationship building, and serving others."

Lacy Fletcher

Lacy Fletcher (LCC ‘04)
Third Grade Teacher, Chicago Public Schools

"I’m a bilingual third grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools system. Lincoln Christian University prepared me to serve diverse groups of students by helping me to better understand my own Biblical worldview, as well as those worldviews that are different from my own. My experience at LCU nurtured my desire to continually serve in intercultural missions in both Mexico and Haiti."
