American Association of Christian Counselors - Student Chapter
Advisor:
A Student Chapter of the professional organization, AACC assists in keeping a variety of Christians in the helping profession connected with one another. The LCU Student Chapter hosts campus events throughout the year.
Camp Teams

Summer service teams are formed during the spring semester and are sent out during the summer for recruitment at church camps, Christ in Youth Conferences, and mission trips throughout the United States.
Applications are available and teams chosen in January. See the Admissions office for information.
Chorale
Advisor: Jeff Colleen, ext. 2271
Chorale is a singing group that performs frequently throughout the semester in Chapel, produces an all group Christmas production called "Christmas in the Chapel," and tours to churches and organizations across the United States. Members for the fall semester are chosen through auditions at the beginning of the semester. Watch for signs around campus or contact Jeff Colleen for times and dates.
The Luminary (Student Newspaper)

The Luminary is published each month by student journalists that cover campus issues, media reviews, editorials, book reviews, and much more.
Resident Assistants
Advisors: Caryn Collins, ext. 2360
As a student leader on each floor of the dorms, resident assistants reflect the character of Christ through planning events, encouraging spiritual growth, and holding fellow students accountable. Two resident assistants are chosen per floor in each dorm. Students may apply for a position in the spring for the following academic year. Each R.A. is required to attend student leader training the week before school begins and participate in new student orientation. Resident assistants report to their respective Head Resident and meet together frequently throughout the year.
Student Cabinet

Student Cabinet gives undergraduate students the opportunity to work closely with faculty, staff, and administration to communicate student needs and concerns. Student Cabinet is made up of executive officers, their committees, and resident assistants. Executive officers are elected in the spring for the following fall semester. Student Cabinet meets every Friday at 9:30am.
Forming New Groups
Students who want to form new groups or organizations must bring a written proposal to the Vice President of Student Development's office and have approval of the Vice President. Membership in College groups is limited to students in good standing and faculty/staff members. All groups and organizations must have a faculty or staff advisor. Scheduling Group Events All events and guest speakers must be approved and scheduled through the Vice President of Student Development's office. At all group events, the faculty/staff advisor or an approved substitute must be present. Contact: Student Services at ext. 2285
