2012 Race
The ninth annual Run for Your Life 2 mile race on Friday the 13th was a huge success. We had another record breaking year of over 240 registrants. Race day consisted of rain, strong winds, and cold temps but that didn’t keep several runners and walkers from participating. Fortunately the rain stopped before the race got underway but the winds stayed strong in order to challenge the participants.
For a second year in a row, Jackson Johnson of Lincoln was the first to cross the Finish Line. This year his time was 10:15 (sixteen seconds off from his record breaking time last year). This year’s overall female was Jessica Franklin from Mahomet at a time of 13:08--very impressive for a 13 year old. Congratulations to all our winners and finishers
