Interlibrary Loan Questions
How do I request an item?
Books found in the I-Share Catalog may be requested via the catalog. Other items may be requested via an online form.
Is there a charge for this service?
The Jessie C. Eury Library strives to obtain all items for free. If there will be a charge, you will be asked if you with to accept the charge or cancel the request.
How long before I receive the requested item?
Articles typically arrive in 3 business days. Books arrive in 1-2 weeks.
How will I know when an item has arrived?
You will be notified by e-mail to your LCU address that a book, ERIC document, or microform has arrived.
How will I receive articles?
All ILL Articles will be delivered electronically to your LCU e-mail address as either an attachment or a link allowing you to download the article. You need to have Adobe Acrobat v. 6.0 or later installed on your computer to access ILL articles. Download a free copy from Adobe's web site.
How long may I keep an item?
Usually items may be kept for 2-4 weeks.
May I renew the item?
Items requested via the Library Catalog may be renewed via My Account. Email the library to request a renewal on other items.
Where do I return items?
Return all items to the Library Front Desk with the loan slip attached.
