Internet & Computer
All dorms have wireless Internet access. If you will be bringing a PC or laptop to campus, please help us keep our network free of viruses, spyware, and other malicious programs. The steps below will help keep your computer safe as well as the campus network.
- UPDATE WINDOWS: Open Internet Explorer (web browser), click on Tools > Windows Update and install any critical or high priority updates. If you haven't run Windows update for some time you may have to run it several times since some updates won't appear until others have been installed first. Keep re-running Windows Update until no critical or high priority updates are listed.
- ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM: Install an anti-virus program on your computer and run a full scan of your computer with the latest anti-virus updates. You are required to have an antivirus program on your computer to access our network.
