Guest Speakers
| Pulpit Supply Speakers may be arranged by the Church Ministries Office to fill the pulpits of churches who are in search of a new preaching minister or in the absence of their preacher such as during vacation time or a family emergency. Professors and gifted staff who are willing to preach can be contacted through this service as well as graduates and current students who have been approved to go out on behalf of Lincoln Christian University (LCU). These people can also be fill-in teachers for Sunday School classes when they come to preach for morning worship. We do not set a fee for this service, trusting that churches will consider the time, effort and transportation costs involved for the speakers and reimburse them accordingly. If the treasurer writes a check to give to the speaker, the check should be made payable to "Lincoln Christian University." LCU reimburses the faculty or staff member at a set rate for each sermon, lesson, presentation, or repeat of a sermon for multiple services, plus reimbursement for mileage. Our staff can give you an estimate based on your needs when you make your request for a speaker. Lincoln's faculty bring the expertise of classroom instruction and ministry experience to the seminar setting. Fees are based upon travel expenses, and honoraria is determined by the number of sessions needed. Biographical sketches are made available by the speaker upon request.
