Men's Basketball 2/2/12
LCU Red Lions took the victory over NCAA Division III Principia College, 94-82. Two minutes into the second half, LCU jumped out to a 21-1 run which helped seal the victory. Junior Brady Cremeens led LCU scoring with 34 points and 12 rebounds, the only double-double of the game. Seniors Chris Lawson (26 points) and Mark Hamm (18 points, 9 rebounds) were also instrumental in the win. As a team, the Red Lions out-rebounded Principia 47-33. Offensively, LCU recorded 20 assists and shot 48% from range.Women's Basketball 1/30/12
Lincoln Christian University claimed a 52-39 victory over St. Louis College of Pharmacy in the Laughlin Center. After jumping out to a 23-12 halftime lead, Coach Bowman’s Red Lions cruised to victory. Freshman Tatiana Colclasure led LCU with 21 points and eleven rebounds. Sophomore Moriah Kirkpatrick recorded 14 points and ten rebounds. After the game, Coach Bowman said, "I’m proud of how our team pulled together to get a win despite a poor shooting night. It was great that Alicia Carson was able to step up and contribute."Men's Basketball 1/30/12
The LCU Men’s Basketball team claimed victory over St. Louis Christian College on Saturday, 97-64. The Red Lions started off strong, taking the lead (11-2) in the opening minutes. First year coach, Davis Hodem’s offense stretched the lead to 39 points toward the end of the game. Senior Chris Lawson led all scorers with 20 points while junior Brady Cremeens tacked on 18. Freshman Alan Leigh recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds. Senior captain Mac Ingmire was out with a shoulder injury, giving the bench players the opportunity to contribute. Eleven of the 13 eligible players scored on Saturday, including freshman Gabe Langseth who led the bench with a career high 14 points.Women's Basketball 1/28/12
Grace Bible College handed the Red Lions a 44-67 loss playing at home in the Laughlin Center. Tatiana Colclasure led with 12 points. Colclasure is averaging 20.3 points per game this season.Women's Basketball 1/24/12
The lady Red Lions fell to Moody Bible Institute on Tuesday, 52-73. Moriah Kirkpatrick led with 16 points and 11 rebounds for LCU.Taylor Cremeens signs with volleyball team
Olympia High School senior Taylor Cremeens signed her letter of intent to play volleyball with the Lincoln Christian University Red Lions on Friday, January 20. According to Taylor, "LCU is perfect for me in every way. I’m excited that I get to play volleyball, study psychology, and honor God all at the same time." Taylor’s high school team won their Illinois regional championship and made it to the section finals in 2010. She was named to the All-Conference First Team her sophomore and junior years. Taylor is the daughter of Robert and Laura Cremeens, Hopedale, IL. LCU Head Volleyball Coach Jason Farr reports, "She is a setter that will have an impact for years to come. I’m very excited about her deciding to come here and be able to share her faith with us."
Men's Basketball 1/24/12
LCU lost at home to Lindenwood University, 97-90. The Red Lions took an early (15-9) lead, thanks to a couple quick three-point shots by sophomore Christian Lowery. Lindenwood then went on a 12-0 run with four consecutive threes of their own. LCU trailed the entire second half, tying the game in the final minutes, but were not able to gain the win. Senior Chris Lawson led the Red Lions with 25 points, junior Brady Cremeens added another 21, and senior captain Mac Ingmire provided 10 assists in the match. The Red Lions shot a season low of 55% from the free throw line and they were out-rebounded 48-31 for the evening.Women's Basketball 1/21/12
After a 22-21 lead heading into half time, LCU’s women’s basketball team beat NCCAA Division II Emmaus Bible College, 53-51. Freshman Tatiana Colclasure led all scorers with 31 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 steals. Averaging 21 points per game, the freshman is ranked third in the NCCAA Division II. Sophomore Moriah Kirkptratick recorded 12 points for the Red Lions.Men's Basketball 1/21/12
LCU claimed victory over Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, IA, 73-56. Just four points ahead at half time, the Red Lions they outscored Emmaus by 13 in the second half. Senior Chris Lawson made his mark on the game by putting up 18 points to lead all scorers. Junior Brady Cremeens added 17 points, 15 of which were from the three-point line. Eleven Red Lions made the score sheet, including freshman Brian Dyal and junior Justin Walen who recorded their first points at LCU.Logan County Board Recognizes LCU Volleyball Team

The LCU men’s basketball team ended an eight game losing streak Tuesday, when they came out on top against host team, Moody Bible Institute, 75-68. Senior Chris Lawson led LCU with 25 points and seven rebounds. Junior Brady Cremeens put up 19 points, 15 of which came from range. Senior Mark Hamm added 17 points and seven rebounds.Alumni Basketball Games

The LCU fell to NAIA Robert Morris University-Springfield (RMU) Monday night, 97-92. Senior Chris Lawson was in great form as he led LCU with 30 points. Junior Brady Cremeens followed closely with 28 points. Lawson and Cremeens combined efforts for a total of 12 3-pointers in the game. Senior Mac Ingmire had a season high 10 assists, but tough defense from RMU prevented the Red Lions from pulling out the victory.The Red Lions were trailing by nine with four minutes left to play, when they started to make their final charge. Lawson started to heat up as he made two important three’s to pull LCU within three, in the final seconds. Arguably the biggest shot in his LCU career came when Cremeens made a 3-point goal at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. In overtime, LCU regained the lead for the first time since the early start of the game, but a couple big shots from RMU sealed the victory.
Men's Basketball 1/7/12
The LCU men's basketball team lost to Lindenwood- Belleville, 101-65. In the Red Lions first game after the winter break, freshman Alan Leigh scored a career high 20 points and senior Mark Hamm resumed his scoring streak by recording 18 points. Size gave Lindenwood- Belleville the advantage as they out-rebounded LCU, 48-26. The Red Lions recorded 16 assists in the match, which led to a season high of nine players who scored for the Red Lions.Women's Basketball 1/4/12
The LCU Women's Basketball team started their second half of the season with two games at the Cookson Hills Classic. Despite losing both games, the team showed signs of improvement against Manhattan Christian College (MCC), 54-51 and Ozark Christian College (OCC), 62-56.On Tuesday, sophomore Moriah Kirkpatrick and freshman Tatiana Colclasure led the Red Lions with 19 points, each, against MCC. Kirkpatrick provided the games only double-double, when she tallied up an additional 15 rebounds. Colclasure led LCU with 24 points against Ozark on Wednesday. Kirckpatrick continued her dominating performance when she put up her third double-double in three games when she scored 16 points and 11 rebounds.Women's Basketball 12/12/11
The Red Lions (1-5) lost to a tough NCAA Division III Eureka College last Wednesday, 99-44. Sophomore Moriah Kirkpatrick scored 14 points, to lead LCU. Tatiana Colclasure recorded the only double-double by either team in the match, by putting up 11 points and 10 rebounds.Men's Basketball 12/12/11
The LCU men's basketball team fell to NCCAA Division II Kyper College, on Saturday, 82-65. Senior Chris Lawson led the Red Lions with 26 points and seven rebounds, shooting a season high of 70% (7:10) from the 3-point line. Senior Mark Hamm recorded 12 points, and junior Brady Cremeens tallied up another 10 points. Senior Mac Ingmire has averaged just fewer than 8 assists per game, in the last four affairs; including his seven assists Saturday afternoon. Kyper recorded 14 offensive rebounds throughout the match.The Red Lions (2-8) travel this week to Anchorage, Alaska, where they will play two exhibition matches against NCAA Division II University of Alaska- Anchorage, on Friday and Saturday, December 16-17.
Men's Basketball 12/7/11
The LCU men's basketball team started out strong by taking a seven point lead in the early minutes against visiting NCAA Division III Eureka College. Eureka stepped up their defense and the rest of the game was highly competitive. In the last eight minutes the Eureka Red Devils took an 11 point lead. Despite rallying to within four points in the final minutes, the Red Lions fell to Eureka 78-73. LCU scoring was led by Senior Mark Hamm who recorded 18 points, his per game average in the last three games. Junior Brady Cremeens and senior Chris Lawson each added 14 points. Freshman Gabe Langseth showed potential as he came off the bench and added another 10 points.Men's Basketball 12/5/11
LCU's men's basketball team finished the weekend tip-off tournament with losses to Northland International University (NIU) and Grace Bible College (GBC) on Friday and Saturday in Grand Rapids, MI. The Red Lions knew beforehand that these two games were going to be two of the toughest games on their schedule.NIU won an 85-81 victory over LCU on Friday. LCU senior Mark Hamm led the Red Lions with 17 points. Brady Cremeens shot 50% from the three-point line, adding 16 points.
Against defending national champions Grace Bible College, LCU lost 82-66. Cremeens put up an impressive 22 points and Hamm continued his run by adding 19 points. Senior Mac Ingmire recorded 9 assists.
Women's Basketball 12/3/11
The LCU women's basketball team lost to Maranatha Baptist Bible College, 73-45, in their final game of the Regional Tip-off on Friday in Dunbar, WI. Freshman Tatianna Colclasure continues to lead the Red Lions, as she put up 22 points and six rebounds. Sophomore Moriah Kirkpatrick was a key player on the boards, recording 14 rebounds. Maranatha distributed the ball evenly, with 11 of 13 players putting points on the board.Men's Basketball 12/1/11
The LCU men's basketball team lost their first game of the NCCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tip-off in Grand Rapids, MI to Great Lakes Christian College (GLCC) 77-57. Senior Mark Hamm led LCU with 16 points and six rebounds. Junior Brady Cremeens recorded 11 points, but GLCC was able to hold Chris Lawson to seven for the game. Senior Captain Mac Ingmire recorded a season high nine assists. LCU shot a season low 22% from the arc which hurt their reliance on the 3-point line shooting strength that has compensated for their lack of height. The Red Lions (2-4) will play their second of three games at the Regional Tip-off against a tough Northland International University team Friday night at 6 p.m.Women's Basketball 12/1/11
The Lincoln Christian University (LCU) women's basketball team traveled to Dunbar, WI to participate in the NCCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tip-off on Thursday. In the first game of the tournament, the Red Lions lost to Northland International University 60-44. LCU was led by Freshman Tatiana Colclasure, who scored 16 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Moriah Kirckpatrick recorded a double-double, by adding 13 points and ten rebounds. The Red Lions (1-3) will face Maranatha Baptist Bible College at 3 p.m. on Friday for their final game of the tip-off.Women's Basketball 11/22/11
The Red Lions women's basketball team fell to Division III Greenville College (42-89) on Tuesday, making their season record 1 win and 2 losses thus far. Freshman Tatiana Colclasure led LCU with 15 points. Colclasure has been a valuable part of Coach Bowman's team averaging just over 18 points per game.Men's Basketball 11/22/11
The Red Lions pulled out a victory against St. Louis College of Pharmacy (67-66) in the final two seconds of the game, when senior Chris Lawson hit a three-point basket to give LCU the win. LCU trailed all game, but really stepped up their defense in the second half. They were down by six with a minute left to play when Lawson hit two threes to tie it at 64. St. Louis answered by knocking down two free throws to go up by two. With two seconds left Lawson hit a three to seal the victory. "Coach Hodem drew up a couple different options and I got a great screen from Mark (Hamm) and was able to knock down the shot", Lawson said.Lawson led the team with 25 points, fifteen of which came from the three point line. Senior Captain, Mac Ingmire helped out with 14 points and 5 assists. Junior Brady Cremeens recorded 13 points.
Sophomore guard, Christian Lowry said, "In the last seven minutes we showed what kind of defense we can play; we just have to do that throughout the entire game." Lowry summed up the night perfectly when he stated, "Chris (Lawson) is clutch."
